Hope in the Light Ministry is a 501 (c)(3), non-denominational, Christian, non-profit organization registered in the state of Texas.
We work in the mountains above Haiti’s capital city of Port-au-Prince. Hope in the Light Ministry helps the Haitian people overcome the devastating effects of poverty and develop the capacity to create a new future for themselves through a strong spiritual belief in God. Hope in the Light Ministry also provides a responsible way for people with charitable hearts to spread the Gospel and help the poor to a better life.

UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 2023
The situation in Haiti has grown increasingly worse. On September 1st the U.S. Embassy issued the following, “U.S. citizens need to leave Haiti as soon as possible via commercial or private transport.” The Embassy had already announced the evacuation of non-emergency personnel and the families of the essential personnel last month.
The current situation has made it very difficult and dangerous for our students, teachers and churches. Teachers have encountered roadblocks and shootings on their way to school. Fortunately our students come from the rural areas, walk mountain trails and do not face the same perils. Our churches have been able to hold services on a regular basis without any major problems. Most of the people live locally and can walk to church.
We ask for your prayers for Haiti, our students, teachers, churches and Hope in the Light. We seek wisdom and guidance for all our decisions. Hope in the Lights wants to thank you for your faithful support of His work in Haiti.
